UUNIA endeavours to bring you accessible and reliable sources of indigenous information.

UUNIA - Dedicated to careful first contact between cultures

First Contact! Remember the many versions of Star Trek (with Captians James Kirk, Jean Luc Picard, Catherine Janeway, and Jonathan Archer) and the rules about first contact between races and cultures. Be Careful! No contamination, etc.

For most non-native people in North America there is scant knowledge of the cultures of people of First Nations, whether living on reserves, in cities or next door to you in a middle class suburb. UUNIA offers this site as a gift - to enable first contact, with respect and honoring the dignity and worth of indigenous peoples around the globe.

Here you will find accessible information making it easier to explore and travel.

Designed to encourage travelers to notice and explore the indigenous world around them, the site lets you learn about local reservations and museums, resources in libraries, which ones are welcoming and which ones present study opportunities.

We meet you at the edge of your call to serve by building connections so that you can contribute to projects and advocate for rights.
